Initially Obsessed began in 2019 with a love of meaningful, personalized decor and the belief that the little details in a home should tell a story.

What started as a creative idea quickly turned into a passion for creating custom pieces that feel personal and unique. Each book stack is made using real salvaged books and carefully hand-stamped with the names, words, or dates that matter most to you.

I love the idea that something as simple as a stack of books can represent a family, a memory, or a moment in time.

Every piece is handmade with care, which means no two stacks are exactly alike. The variations in the books themselves — their size, color, and character — make each piece one-of-a-kind.

In addition to custom book stacks, I also create handmade bookish accessories like fabric bookmarks, book sleeves, and bags designed for fellow book lovers.

Hi! I'm Sydney, the creator of Initially Obsessed!

I am one of those people who see something cute and immediately buy all of the supplies to make it myself! I love crafting and I love reading, so I figured I would put those together and create a custom book stack! Over the years, I have expanded my product line, and I love trying new things.

One of my favorite parts of this business is seeing the names, dates, and words that customers choose for their book stacks. Each order represents a family, a memory, or a meaningful moment, and it’s incredibly special to play a small role in creating something that will be displayed in someone’s home.
